Australians are the most honest people in the world, according to Lost star Dominic Monaghan.

Monaghan, who was in Melbourne recently, arrived back in the US to discover he had lost his wallet.

Not knowing where he had mislaid it, Monaghan called Channel 7 asking if someone could check the suits he had borrowed to see if he had left the wallet in a pocket.

A quick check by the network wardrobe chiefs discovered the wallet in a jacket.

Monaghan was suitably impressed when the wallet - complete with cash and cards - was express posted to him in LA.
